Set up the asset management business of the group and currently heads the fund management function of the firm as a CIO with c. $100 mn AUM. Also co-managed the private equity investments of the group from 1999 to 2001.
Prime Securities Ltd.: June 1994-December 1998
Joined Prime Securities Ltd a leading investment bank as part of the fund management team responsible for investing the proprietary funds of the firm. The firm’s equity asset book size grew from USD 6 million to USD 40 million during that period. Was involved in actively investing and managing the firm’s asset book in both listed ands private equity investments. Worked with the investment banking team of the firm for deal origination in the area of Mergers & Acquisitions.
K R Choksey & Co.: February 1991 - May 1994
Started the career with K R Choksey & Co., a large securities firm as part of the research team. Was designated as Head of Research in 1993. Created a solid foundation in bottom up research with extensive coverage of companies across sectors through management/company meetings.

Sachin has over 9 years of experience in research and portfolio management. He started his career as a research analyst at Unit Trust of India before moving to SG Asia Securities, as a sell-side analyst and HDFC Bank. Sachin joined Alchemy Capital Management in 2004 as an analyst and then graduated to be a portfolio manager. He has served as Director and Portfolio Manager for Alchemy Investment Management. Singapore. He is the portfolio manager for long short strategies advised/managed by the firm.
Chandraprakash Padiyar, CFA

Chandraprakash has over 7 years of work experience in Mutual funds. He began his stint as a Equity research analyst with UTI mutual funds. He holds an MBA in finance from Symbiosis, and has received the CFA charter in 2005.
